Social Anxiety to Social Confidence Blog
Helping you understand and overcome social anxiety and shyness

Why improving social skills isn’t the answer

In these three videos I explain why improving your social skills is not a successful method of overcoming your social anxiety. I also explain why people with social anxiety often struggle to perform well in social situations. I have already discussed this topic in the blog entry called, Improving Social Skills, but I wanted to revisit it on video and go into a little bit more detail.

    Hi Nick

Amazing. I’ve spent the last 25yrs trying to work out what was wrong with me. I kind of knew but made all the classic mistakes you have talked about. As i’ve got older i have tried to be more relaxed about who i am and it’s been working but life has thrown a lot of shit my way of late and i’ve been dragged back down to thinking i’m better off on my own which i hate.

I’ve saved your video’s so when i feel down i can watch them and re-focus on what i should be doing.

    Regards

    Andrew
