Social Anxiety to Social Confidence Blog
Helping you understand and overcome social anxiety and shyness

Goal Setting Free Download

Do you know what you really want in life? Do you have a plan for overcoming your social anxiety? When I was struggling with my anxiety I could easily answer ‘no’ to both of those questions. I was really stuck to know what direction to take my life in and making a plan for overcoming my social anxiety was definitely not something I was actively thinking about. I felt twisted up inside about knowing what I should do with my life, nothing felt right and I just felt stuck with it. I have spoken to many people with social anxiety who feel the same and that is why I have created a three part audio presentation on goal setting to help address this problem. Sometimes it is not knowing what the answers are that is the problem, but rather how we are trying to answer the question, and that is what I address in this new free download. I also address issues surrounding fears of failure.

To access it, just login to the Free Downloads Area, or if you are not already a member then it only takes a minute to Register Your Details. I promise you will not get lots of spam emails and the only emails you will get are occasional updates from Socialanxiety.co.uk. You can delete your account yourself at any time.

    Hi Nick,

at first I was a bit sceptical and a few times was thinking that it’s all rubbish, but it seems to have helped concentrate my mind on a particular goal so it must be good! It beats sitting around ruminating over how I need to cure my SA anyway.
So thanks, I can see how this approach can produce helpful changes.

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for the comment. I’m glad it served it’s purpose. Although goal setting in the way I teach is helpful for people with social anxiety and I’d encourage people to engage in it, I’ll be getting into the proper details of making progress in my overcoming social anxiety audio program when it’s released. I’ve had some big delays, but things are on course again now and I hope to release it by the end of the year or soon after.

    All the best,

    Nick

    Hi,
Thank you so much. I feel so much better to have this all outlined in steps with which I feel comfortable. You are really doing a great thing with this website. I feel much better now that I know there’s somewhere I can come to in order to get advice on achieving my goal of overcoming my SA.
    Thanks Again,
    Liz

Thank you nick, this is really helpful. Its so great to have someone actually speaking about it rather than just reading from a book. I had a cognitive behavioral therapist who was really wasn’t helpful at all whether its because im 16 i don’t know but this is much appreciated. Thankyou :-) Curt

    hey nick
I’ve been listening to your audio-workshop and now I’m starting with my first goals and steps. It really gives some new hope. Now it’s my turn to stay focussed on those (mini)goals and steps so I can make some progress. It wont be easy because there is a long way to go, but there is a beginning.

For so far you advises and this website seems to be really usefull. Thanks for that!
    (sorry about my english)

thank you so much Nick, you are so inspirational and helpful to me. I was skeptical and felt like I had already done these thigns in my head, but you were right, it makes me feel so much better just to organize my thoughts and get them all down on paper, and set goals for myself. I feel much better already, and more motivated to change my life, and hopefuly that change will come, than i can ever remember. thank you so much for helping so many people! and im very glad that you have beat your social anxiety. congratulations on that. thanks again.

    Hi Nick,
This was very helpful. I wish I had gained the courage to take some of these steps years ago. It would have made my life so much richer. I feel I always get stuck in the same place because I don’t know the steps which would be most helpful in helping me build my confidence. Any ideas?

  11. Nick Hanlon Says:

Hi June, I’m currently working on something to provide information on how to build confidence, although it will likely be some months before it is ready. Keep checking back at this site for updates. All the best, Nick
